How did my life look like before the race?

Before the race: I was working for a bank and volunteering in Children’s ministry for my church!

I was used to staying busy and then working for the bank. and going through that cycle for years.

But after training camp:

My mindset shifted from working towards being a cornerstone for friend groups or my coworkers, it shifted into being a child of God and servant of His kingdom and there was so much freedom that came from that.

What am I leaving behind?

I’m leaving behind my friends and family of course, but more specifically I’m leaving behind my comfort zone. I’m leaving behind the things I could do under my own power and stepping out and letting God show me what I can do with His power.

What is the biggest obstacle in being here and how did I overcome it?

Definitely the financial aspect. This was no small feat to overcome. That’s how I know it was God who called me on this trip and provided me a way to go on it.

If this Q&A leaves you with some questions: feel free to ask them either in the comments or send them to me directly.

Hasta Honduras!!

  1. Hey Josh! I love this! It is so good to see your smiling face. Yes, our God is so GOOD! He is constant, the same yesterday, today and forever. That is so comforting. I also love as you said, that He does things in such amazing awe inspiring ways. He has certainly got you in the palm of HIS hand! Go with expectancy now, remember Luke 4:18. We are cheering you on all the way. Love you!

  2. Just know your friends from the bank are missing you dearly. The unknown can be the most frightening, but with your spirit, fear is non-existent. God did not design us with a spirit of fear anyway, but when we move out the way, then he will do a Mighty Work in our live. Prayers coming your way!

  3. HE IS FAITHFUL AND GOOD!!! AND HIS CHARACTER NEVER CHANGES!

This is so good. Great thought-provoking questions, insightful answers, and put together so well. I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to continue following the journey as y’all launch so soon!
