The answer is actually very simple. I felt a peace and decided to put in my application a week later, now I’m here. Allow me to divulge just a bit more.
March of this year started a very rough season for me. I was depressed and a loss of motivation. I remember having a conversation with a lifelong and very wise friend of mine. He mentioned the world race, and I began looking into it.
Fast forward to May, I’ve graduated from college with 2 bachelor degrees and a very vague plan of wanting to travel the world and see where God wants me to be. I wasn’t entirely sure what it was that I wanted to do with my two degrees, but I knew that whatever career field that may be, I would be enjoying it to the fullest.
So here I am 2 months later and now fully coming to grasps that I’m where God needs me to be.
I love what the great lyricist Kevin Burgess once said: I’d rather be in the jungle in the will of God than anywhere else outside it.
It’s because of this quote that’s led me to believe that following the Lord’s unctions is a lot better than following what everyone else is doing and basing plans off of trends.
